Locals, Volunteers and Community Leaders come together as One Community with the addition of One EC Recovery Project to the #ECStrong Ellicott City Recovery coalition
Marking the 6th month anniversary of the 2016 Ellicott City flood and the efforts of the Ellicott City Recovery, the One EC Recovery Project was joined by Howard County Executive Allan Kittleman, Councilmember Jon Weinstein and the Ellicott City Partnership at the Howard County Tourism Center on Main Street in Ellicott City on Monday January 30, 2017 at 12:00 PM.
In addition to acknowledging the progress of the Ellicott City Recovery made to date, County Executive Kittleman, Councilman Weinstein, One EC Recovery Project Chair Adam Feldman and Ellicott City Partnership President Karen Besson emphasized the ongoing need for community support in the long term recovery process for Ellicott City businesses, property owners and residents alike.
To assist in the recovery efforts, the One EC Recovery Project, a community driven and community based nonprofit with a special focus on long term Ellicott City recovery of residents and property owners in Historic Ellicott City is joining the #ECStrong coalition.
“One EC is honored to work with the dedicated team of the #ECStrong coalition to achieve long term recovery in Ellicott City,” said Adam Feldman, One EC Recovery Project chair. “Our city’s well-being is directly tied to the well-being of our neighbors. We believe that whether a Main Street resident, business owner, employee, frequent visitor, or part of the greater Ellicott City area – at the end of the day we are all one people, one community – We are One Ellicott City.”

Through a network of local, regional and national disaster relief, community and governmental organizations, One EC Recovery Project provides financial assistance, building supplies, goods, services, and labor to assist residents in their rebuilding efforts and long term recovery.
