The quarter-mile residential stretch of Main Street, up the hill away from the hustle and bustle of the Business District is the the primarily residential neighborhood of West End Main Street Ellicott City. Away from the popular bars and shops is a diverse community comprised of multi-generational residents, area newcomers and a smattering of small businesses.
When heavy rain comes, the Tiber Hudson watershed overflows and water can surround the homes that are located between Rogers Avenue and Ellicott Mills Drive. On July 30th, 2016 the resulting flood caused hundreds of thousands of dollars in damage to residents’ homes, personal property and several businesses.
The One EC Recovery Project is working to ensure that none of the residents of the Main Street Community are overlooked and is focusing on working with residents and businesses to provide them with gap assistance during their own recovery efforts.
If you are a resident and/or property owner of the West End along Main Street and need further assistance with recovery, contact the One EC Recovery Project today.
