The Main Street Ellicott City Business District is comprised of historic sites, unique shops, restaurants, bars, cafes and other small businesses. On July 30, 2016 an unprecedented flash flood caused significant damage to the businesses and residents throughout the business district.
With the help of many over the last several months, nearly fifty businesses have been able to already open again and many more have plans to reopen over the next few months. Although Main Street has come a long way, there is still much more recovery needed and it is important that we continue supporting the Main Street community during the long road ahead.
The One EC Recovery Project is committed to helping the entire Main Street community get back on their feet and back to business as usual.
Although there is still much more work to do, many businesses on Main Street have been able to reopen with the help of volunteers, generous donors and Howard County Government. You can see a list of Historic Ellicott City businesses on the Ellicott City Partnership website. Your continued support and patronage to the shops restaurants and business in the Historic District is essential to their recovery and long term well-being.
